How the Engine Oil Was Dying. Part 2: Resurrection

This history is so wonderful and unusual so we asked car owner to tell us its continuation When I found metal particles in engine oil of my Range Rover, I was disappointed. I expected to see that in any other engines, but not in Range Rover

Tripod CV Joints greases comparison test. Which is the best?

VMPAUTO has equiped scientific department and laboratory where professionals in tribology study different properties of greases and compare with analogues that are presented on the market.

How was «fighting» and «dying» the motor oil

The issue about the quality of modern motor oils and that, what happens with them during the exploitation in the engine interests not only professional mechanics.

Oil viscosity losses in the engine

Even if you use the most modern engine oil, its properties change during running. It is known that all engine oils contain additives which improve and maintain different properties. During engine running these oil additives deteriorate under thermal and mechanical loads. Oil molecules also suffer a change. When all these changes are at maximum level, the engine oil must be changed.

Viscosity of engine oils and oil thickeners

Using modern fully automated rheometer Anton Paar MCR 102 in the laboratory of VMPAUTO LLC during 2 hours test we can get an oil viscosity curve in the range from +100°C to -35°C. The datas will not fully correspondent to SAE J300, however they will be linked with those results. Dates received from the rheometer can be used for comparative tests.
